Melt Away Bars from Scratch
These melt away bars are heaven in your mouth. Serious sinful chocolate treat.

HERE'S THE RECIPE
1/2 cup butter
1 square unsweetened chocolate
1/4 cup white sugar
homemade pure vanilla extract
1 egg, beaten well
homemade graham cracker crumbs
1 cup shredded coconut
1/2 cup chopped nuts
Melt butter and chocolate together. Mix together sugar, vanilla, egg,
graham cracker crumbs, coconut and chopped nuts. Blend into the melted
butter and chocolate. Press into ungreased 11x7 inch pan. Refrigerate
for 2 to 3 hours.
1/4 cup butter
1 TBS cream
homemade powdered sugar
Mix soft (not melted) butter with cream, sugar and vanilla. Spread
evenly over the refrigerated bottom layer and again place in the
refrigerator until firm on top.
Melt and spread one 12 oz bag of chocolate chips over the top of the chilled filling. Refrigerate after cutting into squares.

The main villains of hydrogenated oils that you want to stay away from are
corn oil, soybean oil, cottonseed oil and canola oil.
I have changed to using organic and unrefined coconut oil, and olive oil. Organic butter and ghee is another option. Thanks!
