Hamburger Horseshoe Sandwich Plate

1 lb ground beef or as much you need to make 3 to 4 burgers
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
french fries, bake according to package directions

Patty out the ground beef, sprinkle with the garlic and onion powders equally on both sides and fry (or grill) until they have reached the desired doneness you are looking for.  Place in the center of a plate.

Arrange the french fries in a horseshoe around the cooked burger and then drizzle with cheese sauce.  Top with hot sauce or sliced jalapenos.

Cheese Sauce

1 TBS butter
1 TBS all purpose flour
1 cup milk
1 cup cubed Velveeta cheese

In a small saucepan, heat the butter over medium heat and whisk in 1 TBS flour.  Cook while whisking for one minute.  Add the milk while whisking and cook until thickened.  Add the cheese and cook until melted.

This cheese sauce is excellent over broccoli, cauliflower or even nachos.
