Pork Roast Recipes
I cook pork roasts in a crock pot. The meat just falls apart and this sauce makes it extra special.
HONEY PORK ROAST RECIPE
2-3 lb pork roast
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
Honey Sauce (optional)
3/4 cup water
6 TBS honey
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper, or to taste (optional)
Season pork roast with garlic and onion powder and place in the slow cooker. Cook on high 6 hours or on low for 8 hours.
When roast is done bring out of the crock pock and place in a 9×13 inch pan. To make the sauce, heat in a small saucepan and whisk until everything is incorporated. Cook until sauce just starts to thicken. Pull roast apart in serving size pieces and drizzle with sauce. Serve.
Recipe Variations:
If you want everything done at once or won’t be around when roast is done, just pour the sauce over the roast before cooking.
You may bake the pork roast at 350 degrees for 60 to 90 minutes depending on the size. Just cover the roast with the sauce before baking.
You may shred the roast, then drizzle the sauce over all and make sandwiches. I usually add a couple shakes of Franks Hot Sauce just for kicks.
