The Only Mashed Potato Recipe You Will Ever Need
These cream cheese mashed potatoes are really the best and you can make them a few days before you need them and they turn out perfect everytime.
Cream Cheese Mashed Potatoes Recipe
5 lbs potatoes (Russett)
4 ounces of cream cheese
1 cup sour cream
2 tsp onion salt
1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
2 TBS butter
Cook and mash the potatoes.
Add the cream cheese, sour cream, onion salt, pepper and garlic powder. Whip up until smooth and put in a greased casserole dish. Dot with the butter and bake at 350 degrees for approximately 30 minutes or until heated through. Makes 8 to 12 cups. May cover tightly and refrigerate in the casserole dish, and will keep up to two weeks.
