This chicken divine certainly lives up to its name. Chicken in sour cream and cheese sauce served over rice is a comfort food must-try.
3 cups rotissiere chicken
2 cups sour cream
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1-1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese or colby, divided
7 oz can green chiles chopped (spicy)
1/2 cup chopped black olives
two 10.5 oz cans cream of chicken soup
cooked white rice
PREHEAT oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9x13 inch pan with oil.
Line the bottom of the prepared pan with the rotissiere chicken. In a bowl, mix the sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, 3/4 cup cheese, green chiles, olives and cream of chicken soup. Pour evenly over the chicken and even out to the edges. Top with the remaining 3/4 cup cheese.
Cover and bake for 30 minutes. Place back in the oven uncovered until the cheese is bubbly. Serve over cooked white rice.
Serve with warm bread and a tossed salad.
