Easy Tea Biscuit Recipe

This homemade tea biscuit recipe is as old as the hills, and still makes the BEST tea biscuits I've ever tasted.

So moist, and the raisins make them even better. I offer more of my homemade biscuit recipes at the bottom of the page.

Easy Tea Biscuit Recipe #MissHomemade

This recipe is old as the hills and from Marion Linden. I love you Deet, and miss you so much.

THE BEST TEA BISCUITS

2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
2/3 cup sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1/3 tsp nutmeg
7-1/2 TBS homemade unsalted butter
1/2 cup raisins
milk to moisten
1 tsp homemade pure vanilla extract

PREHEAT oven to 400 degrees, and lightly spray a cookie sheet with vegetable oil.

Mix ingredients together and roll out to 1/2" thick. Cut out in circles and sprinkle with sugar. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes. I don't let them get golden on top - biscuits are not as moist when the tops are golden brown.
