Homemade Seasoned Salt

This homemade seasoned salt recipe is perfect.  What's perfect is the spice blend and taste. I love this on popcorn and french fries, for starters

Use like you normally would with Lawry's seasoned salt.  Offering many more homemade spice mix recipes below.

Seasoned Salt Recipe

You are on your way to saving a lot of money when you make your own spice mixes. You can customize this recipe to your own taste.

2 tsp salt (optional)
2 tsp white sugar
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp turmeric
1/8 tsp flour

Shake all ingredients in a resealable bag and store in an airtight container.

The best part? The food tastes better.  I love seasoned salt on french fries.  Just spray them with oil before baking and sprinkle with the seasoned salt.  It is so good.

You can use your seasoned salt in this popular recipe for taco seasoning. You will never buy it again.

2 TBS chili powder
2 tsp cumin
1-1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp seasoned salt, recipe above
1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp oregano
cayenne pepper to taste, optional

If you are using this mix for tacos, use 3 tablespoons of this mix per pound of cooked and drained ground beef. Add 1 teaspoon of flour to the seasoned ground beef to thicken it, and 1/4 cup of water and heat everything through.

You must try this delicious mix with my easy chicken enchilada recipe. It's to die for.

Make a big batch and pour into glass containers. Wrap with a ribbon and give as gifts. It makes food taste amazing.
