Easy Cheeseburger Casserole Recipe
CHEESEBURGER PASTA CASSEROLE RECIPE
1 lb pasta (rotini, penne, shells or elbow)
1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup diced onion
2 TBS Worcestershire sauce
2 TBS ketchup
1 tsp homemade garlic powder
1 tsp homemade onion powder
4 cups beef broth
1 cup water
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1 cup shredded mozzarella
2 cups shredded cheddar
In a skillet, brown the hamburger, onion, garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce and ketchup.
When cooked, add the beef broth and water to the ground beef mixture and bring to a simmer. Add the pasta and mix well. Simmer for 15 minutes or until pasta is tender. Add the cheese and milk. Simmer for another 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
CHEESY HAMBURGER AND POTATO CASSEROLE
PREHEAT oven to 375 degrees and spray a casserole dish with vegetable oil.
Peel and quarter potatoes and cook in salted water until tender. Drain well; add butter and milk and beat to make mashed potatoes. Cover and set aside.
Meanwhile, in a skillet, add meat, onion, garlic and onion powder and cook until no longer pink. Drain well and place in the bottom of the casserole dish.
Top the ground beef with the mashed potatoes and spread evenly. Sprinkle with all of the cheddar cheese and bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
