HOMEMADE GRANOLA ENERGY BAR RECIPE
1 cup quick cooking rolled oats
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup Grape Nut cereal
1 tsp cinnamon
1 egg, beaten
1/4 cup applesauce
1/4 cup honey
brown sugar, packed
2 TBS canola oil
1/4 cup sunflower seeds
1/4 cup almonds, chopped
1 (7oz) bag dried mixed fruit, tropical or whatever you like
PREHEAT oven to 325 degrees, and line a square baking pan with foil. Spray the pan with cooking spray.
In a large bowl mix together the oats, flour, cereal and
cinnamon. Add the egg, applesauce, honey, brown sugar and oil Mix
until incorporated. Stir in nuts, seeds and dried fruit. After mixing
again, spread evenly in the prepared pan.
Bake for 30 minutes; or until firm and lightly browned around
the edges. Remove from the oven and cool. Use the foil and lift from
