Mix the raw ground beef with the uncooked rice, garlic and onion powder,
worcestershire sauce, 1 cup diced or stewed tomatoes, Italian seasoning
and salt/pepper to taste. Stuff steamed peppers with this mixture. Spray a
9x13 inch pan with vegetable oil. Place stuffed peppers in the baking
dish with hollow side (stuffed side) facing up.
Saute the onion and mix with the remaining tomato sauce
ingredients. Pour sauce over stuffed peppers. Bake for 60 minutes.
Top with the shredded cheese and bake another 15 minutes.
These can also be cooked in a crock-pot for 3 hours. During the last 30 minutes, top with cheese.
You may also microwave the green peppers covered in a microwave dish for 3 minutes or until bright green in color and steaming.
