I have more than just easy mixed drink recipes, check out more links to cocktail drinks below.
Long day at work? With my cocktail recipes, you don’t need an excuse to enjoy a drink. As a matter of fact, my party drinks are easy to prepare and so delicious.
The first recipe is simple to make and a staple when making cocktails and beverages alike. It’s for simple syrup. I keep mine in a covered glass jar in the refrigerator. If you are making lemonade or sweet tea, this comes in handy also.
SIMPLE SYRUP
2 cups water
2 cups white sugar
Combine in a small sauce and bring to a boil. Simmer until all sugar is dissolved. Cool, and store in a airtight container. Now on to more important things below…
BEST MARGARITA RECIPE
Okay, I’ll admit it – this is my favorite mixed drink recipe – and I am listing it first. I hope you enjoy this recipe for margaritas as much as I do. This is only for one drink, so you probably want to double or triple it…
3 oz good tequila (I use Patron Silver)
2 oz lime juice, freshly squeezed
1 oz Simple Syrup, see recipe above
1/2 tsp orange liqueur, optional
Fill a shaker with ice and add the tequila, lime juice and simple syrup. Cover and shake until chilled….about 30-45 seconds.
For the rim of the glass:
zest of lime
2 TBS kosher salt
2 TBS white sugar
Place in a small blender or food processor and pulse together. Pour onto a plate. Rim the glass with a cut piece of lime, and then dip it into the above mixture.
Fill your rimmed glasses with ice and add the margarita. Add a slice of lime to the side of the glass. (Just cut a slice half way through and attach to rim). Awesome mixed drink recipe isn’t it? I’ll let you enjoy this one.

Brandy Drink Recipes
These are delicious and I find that using fresh strawberries is so much better in this mixed drink recipe.
STRAWBERRY DAIQUIRI
6 cups ice
1/4 cup superfine white sugar*
1/2 cup fresh strawberries, with tops off
1/8 cup (1/2 Roses Lime Juice and the other half fresh lime juice)
1/2 cup orange juice
3/4 cup good rum (Lemon Bacardi works well)
First if you don’t have superfine sugar, we are going to make some. In a blender, place the sugar in it and process for 20 seconds. There you have it, superfine sugar.
Now in the same blender, add the ice, (the sugar is already in there) and strawberries. Then add the remaining ingredients and process until smooth. Wet the rim of your glass with the lime that you juiced and dunk the rim into sugar. Then pour the daiquiri in the glass and garnish with strawberry slices.
*If you do not have super-fine sugar, just put granulated sugar in a blender and pulse one or two times and then you have it and didn’t have to spend all that money.
This stuff is addicting. For this mixed drink recipe, if you like it really slushy – use frozen strawberries. (Just remember 1 cup = 8 oz)
WORLD’S BEST STRAWBERRY MARGARITA
6 oz Patron Silver tequila
2 oz triple sec
1 cup frozen sliced strawberries in syrup
4 oz frozen limemade concentrate
Fill the blender with ice and crush it. Next add the tequila and triple sec – and finally the strawberries and limeade concentrate. Process for 30 seconds or until smooth. Wet the rim of your glass and dunk in white sugar (It’s good with sugar/salt mixture also). Fill with the margarita…relax and enjoy.
No need for a blender with this mixed drink recipe.
BEER MARGARITAS
12 oz frozen limeade concentrate
12 oz good tequila (Patron Silver) 12 oz 7-Up
12 oz Corona Extra
Ice
lime wedges
salt to rim glass
In a large glass pitcher, add the limeade, tequila, 7-Up, and beer. Mix together and let sit until the limeade thaws (makes the drink colder instead of thawing it before you put it in the pitcher).

Following is a mixed drink recipe for homemade brandy slush. We always take this parties. Try it, you’ll LOVE it.
MOM’S BRANDY SLUSH
9-1/2 cups of water
2 cups of sugar
4 green tea bags
Bring all of the above ingredients to a boil and let boil for five minutes. Cool slightly.
THEN ADD:
3 cups of brandy
12 oz can of frozen lemonade concentrate
12 oz can frozen orange juice concentrate
7 –up or Squirt
When ready to freeze, Mom always used a empty ice cream bucket and poured it in there to freeze – worked like a charm. When ready to serve, put desired amount of the frozen mixture into and glass and top off with the 7-Up or Squirt.
Making good homemade Limoncello from scratch is easy using this mixed drink recipe.
LIMONCELLO COCKTAIL DRINK RECIPE
10 lemons
1 liter of good vodka
3 cups white sugar
4 cups water
Peel the lemons (make sure to leave the pith or bitter white part on the lemons, or you will have a bitter drink), and place the peel in a tall jar. Add the vodka (I recommend Grey Goose) and cover loosely for one week to infuse.
After 7 days, combine the sugar and water in a saucepan and boil for 15 minutes. DO NOT STIR. Take off heat and cool. Stir the vodka in with the sugar water, and strain into glass bottles that you want to serve this in – and cork it. Let sit for two weeks at room temperature.
NOTE: Before serving, cut a half gallon milk carton in half and place the limoncello bottle in the center and fill half way with water. Add flowers or lemon slices and fill to the top. Freeze everything overnight, and when ready to serve, just peel off the carton and place in a bowl or plate. Serve in glasses or shot glasses. This keeps it chilled for quite a while, and looks lovely!
If you like lemons, you’ll love this mixed drink recipe.
LEMON DROP MARTINI
1-1/2 oz citron vodka
1/2 oz fresh lime juice
1 oz sweet and sour mix

Combine vodka, lime juice, sweet and sour mix, and ice into a shaker. Shake mixture until the outside of the shaker becomes frosty. Strain into the martini glass.
Sweet and Sour Mix
juice from 3 lemons
juice from 3 limes
2 cups of sugar
3 cups of water
Bring the water to a boil and add the sugar. Continue boiling until the sugar is dissolved completely. Remove from heat and stir in the juice from the lemons and limes. Cool and it’s ready to go. Store in a airtight container in the refrigerator. This makes 3 cups. You can use this when making margaritas also.

Got fresh blueberries? This mixed drink recipe is awesome…
BLUEBERRY MARGARITA

1 cup frozen blueberries
1 cup blueberry nectar
1/4 cup seltzer
2 TBS frozen limeade
1 TBS lime juice
3 ounces tequila
1 lime wedge

BLUEBERRY VODKA MARTINIS
1 liter of Grey Goose vodka
1 pint of blueberries, rinsed and dried
1 cup raspberry flavored liqueur
1 lime, juiced
blueberries for garnish
Pour out 1/3 of the bottle of vodka and place in a jar, set aside. Score each blueberry with a quick nick and place in the grey goose vodka bottle.
With the vodka that was set aside, fill the goose bottle just below the neck of the bottle. Add enough raspberry liqueur to fill the bottle. Let sit in a dark place for 14 days. (I know, but the wait is worth it.)
To make the martinis: In a cocktail shaker, fill with ice and combine 2 parts blueberry liquor with one part raspberry liqueur and a dash of lime juice.
Shake until frost forms on the outside of the shaker and serve in a martini glass. Prick the blueberries with a cocktail skewer and place in the martini. May also add a twist of lime zest. Lovely mixed drink recipe.

AUTHENTIC MOJITO RECIPE
10 fresh mint leaves
1/2 of a lime, cut into 4 slices
2 TBS white sugar
1 cup ice cubes
1-1/2 oz white rum
1/2 cup club soda
Place the mint leaves and one wedge of the lime in the bottom of a glass. Using a muddle, crush the leaves and lime slice. Add two more of the lime wedges and the sugar, and muddle again to release more lime juice. DO NOT STRAIN.
Fill the glass with ice cubes, and pour in the rum. Add club soda to completely fill the glass. Stir and taste. You may need more sugar depending on how sweet you want it. Garnish with the last lime wedge.
NOTE: If you want to make a pitcher full of mojitos, use the simple syrup recipe above and add several tablespoons of this syrup instead of the sugar.
You may also flavor your drink with fruit such as: blueberry mojito (add juice) or coconut mojitos (add coconut milk) – it’s up to you. A perfect mixed drink recipe.
I’ve had a few hurricanes in my life (Bourbon Street), and this recipe is perfect – it makes a pitcher of hurricanes.

Shake in a cocktail shaker over ice and pour into a chilled glass. Top with orange slice and cherry.
HOMEMADE GRENADINE RECIPE
2 cups pomegranate juice
1 cup sugar
Simmer until reduced in half. Does this recipe surprise you? Real grenadine is not corn syrup and food color like it is now.
Cold outside? This “cocktail drink” recipe sure hits the spot. Why not make up a batch of my delicious homemade hot chocolate, sit back and enjoy the fire.
PEPPERMINT HOT CHOCOLATE
1 cup homemade hot chocolate
1 ounce peppermint schnapps
Just stir in the peppermint and enjoy.
In a hurry?
Use one (1 ounce) envelope instant hot chocolate made according to directions. Stir in 1 ounce of peppermint. Not technically a mixed drink, but this is so good.
