Following is a recipe for Red Lobster Biscuits. My favorites at Red Lobster are the Shrimp Scampi and these Cheddar Bay Biscuits. Those biscuits are so addicting that when the meal comes, I'm usually full.  Oh well...(it was worth it)

Recipe for Red Lobster Biscuits

Serve these delicious cheesy biscuits with fish or grilled chicken; really they are excellent with a lot of things. Adapted from Ladies Home Journal, August 1994.


Makes: 10-12 biscuits

2 cups homemade buttermilk Bisquick baking mix
2/3 cup milk
1/2 cup freshly shredded Cheddar Cheese

Garlic Butter
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/2 tsp to 1 tsp homemade garlic powder

PREHEAT Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

Combine baking mix, milk and cheese with a wooden spoon until soft dough forms. Beat vigorously for 30 seconds. Drop dough by heaping tablespoons onto an ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes until golden. Combine melted butter or margarine and garlic powder; brush over warm biscuits before removing from cookie sheet. Serve warm.
