flavor is rich and flavorful. It is so easy to make. I've included my
homemade vegan soy sauce recipe below.

Soy sauce is a condiment made from a fermented
paste of boiled soybeans, roasted grain, brine, and Aspergillus oryzae or Aspergillus sojae molds. After fermentation, the paste is pressed,
producing a liquid, which is the soy sauce, and a solid byproduct, which
is often used as animal feed.

Homemade Soy Sauce from Scratch
Here's my homemade recipe for soy sauce. It's delicious.
1-1/2 cups boiling water
4 TBS beef bouillon granules (lower sodium works too)
4 TBS cider vinegar
1 TBS dark molasses
1 tsp sesame seed oil
pinch of black pepper
Whisk all ingredients together until dissolved and pour into a bottle
with a tightly sealed top. May be refrigerated indefinitely. Makes 2
You could also pour into a glass bottle and wrap with a ribbon - this also makes a great gift.

Teriyaki Sauce Recipe
VEGAN SOY SAUCE FROM SCRATCH
4 tsp balsamic vinegar
2 tsp dark molasses
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1 pinch white pepper
pinch of homemade garlic powder
1-1/2 cups vegetable stock
salt to taste
Place the ingredients together in a saucepan and bring to a
boil. Reduce heat and gently boil until mixture is reduced down to one
cup; approximately 15 minutes.
You may want to make a double batch so you have some on hand for the next time.
SOY SAUCE SALAD DRESSING
1/3 cup peanut or extra-virgin olive oil
homemade cider vinegar
1/3 cup water
2 TBS soy sauce, recipe above
2 TBS green onion, chopped
1 TBS honey
homemade hot mustard
Combine the ingredients in a jar with a tight-fitting lid. Shake well
to combine the ingredients thoroughly. Keep refrigerated and use within
a few weeks. Shake before using.
