What are your favorite picnic food recipes? Offering summer picnic recipes and family reunion recipe ideas.
Whether you are having a picnic by the lake, in the backyard, at the beach or even your kitchen table, I offer some tasty summer food recipe ideas that should be on your menu.
You could use a grill for the meat, or just make some cold meat sub sandwiches with all the picnic fixings.
This simple baked smore recipe has become a favorite and hope it will become yours too. There is no need for a fire because these are made in the oven and can be put together in no time – year around!
Baked Peanut Butter Smores
PREHEAT oven to 400 degrees.
Line a baking sheet with foil and spray with oil. Place marshmallows on the prepared tin foil and place in the preheated oven. Set for three minutes – this is not an exact time.
NOTE:
I keep the oven light on to watch as the marshmallows can burn easily. With this method you can have perfect golden brown marshmallows every time (these baked marshmallows are so good all by themselves too). Take out when they have reached desired darkness which is just a few minutes.
Meanwhile…
Spread peanut butter over the graham cracker. Top the peanut butter with a piece of chocolate.
You may put the peanut butter on the top graham cracker and the piece of chocolate on the bottom graham cracker if you wish. Always put the hot marshmallow on top of the chocolate.

Baked Peanut Butter S’mores
You may wrap these hot S’mores in foil and place in the picnic basket. Once the chocolate is melted, these are delicious hot or at room temperature.
Recipe Variations:
Use any nut butter you love like cashew butter, almond butter, etc. Instead of chocolate just spread on Nutella. It is your masterpiece, I am just giving you the basics.
