This grilled chicken recipe includes the star of the recipe Homemade Apricot BBQ Sauce. You may also use peaches – both are delicious.
Best Grilled Chicken Recipe
STONED BBQ CHICKEN
4 chicken breasts (thighs, wings or legs)
Rub the chicken with olive oil and heat the grill to medium. Lightly oil the grates and grill chicken turning every 3-5 minutes until almost done. During the last two turnings of the chicken, top with the barbecue sauce and then remove from the heat. Let sit for 5-10 minutes before serving.
Apricot Barbecue Sauce
1/2 cup apricot preserves
3/4 cup your favorite bbq sauce (Sweet Baby Ray’s Honey is delicious)
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 TBS vinegar
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (or to taste), optional
Heat and mix together in a small saucepan for a few minutes and remove.
