These old fashioned pineapple treats are a twist from the original Rice Krispie bars.
These are a delight to eat and the kids will love them. A few ingredients to put them together and you are in pineapple-marshmallow heaven.
PINEAPPLE RICE KRISPIE TREATS
1/2 lb marshmallows
1/2 cup milk
Melt the above in a double boiler and stir until dissolved. Cool.
1 cup heavy cream, beaten until very stiff
1 small can crushed pineapple
1/3 cup pineapple juice (if not enough, add milk to make 1/3 cup juice)
14 graham crackers, crushed
Line an 8″x10″ pan with waxed paper. Spread 1/2 of the crumb mixture into the pan. Mix all other ingredients and pour on the crumbs. Sprinkle remaining crumbs on top. Set in a cool place. You can make these 2 or 3 days before you want to serve them).
