Fruit Dressing Recipes

1/2 cup white sugar
1 TBS cornstarch
1 egg
1 can (12oz) pineapple juice
1/2 pint whipped cream

Mix the sugar, cornstarch and egg together in a saucepan. Add the pineapple juice and cook slowly until thickened. Cool. Fold into the whipped cream. Add the pineapple chunks and refrigerate for two hours. Serve.

Good old-fashioned whipped cream made from scratch is something that can't be beat.

2 cups heavy whipping cream, very cold
1/4 cup powdered sugar, sifted
(if you want it sweeter, add more)
2 tsp pure vanilla extract

Wet your stainless steel bowl and beaters and place in the freezer for a good 60 minutes before - so it's cold. In the chilled bowl, add the whipping cream and beat on low for 30 seconds or until small bubbles start to from.

Increase the speed to medium for a few seconds and then proceed to high. Slowly add the sugar and vanilla and beat in until soft peaks form. When it has doubled in volume and is smooth and thick; it's ready.

Dollop the whipped cream on top of fruit, and you can even drizzle with chocolate or caramel.  I'm getting hungry here folks.

This is a simple fruit dessert topping that is delicious over fresh fruit.  Strawberries, bananas, apples, blueberries and peaches - you get the picture.

1 cup heavy cream, whipped
3 oz cream cheese, softened
12 marshmallows, cut
1 TBS lemon juice

Fold marshmallows into cream. Add cream cheese and lemon juice. Serve over cut up fresh fruit.

This is really easy to put together and is so light and delicious.  Sometimes, I do not add the marshmallows - I have to be in the mood for them (you know how that goes).
