You will flip over these Asian ribs. Sticky, sweet and spicy the perfect combo you crave. Easy to make too.
Here's another variation that's sure to please. They taste the
best if marinated overnight in the refrigerator.
Sticky Pork Ribs
Cooked white rice
2-4 lbs pork or beef ribs
1/2 tsp rosemary
1/2 tsp liquid smoke
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
Sauce
1 cup homemade brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup homemade ketchup
1/4 cup homemade soy sauce
1/4 cup homemade worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup homemade chile sauce
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 tsp dry mustard
1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
Garnish
sesame seeds
chopped green onion
Place ribs in a large stock pot, add the herbs and cover with water. Bring to a
boil and simmer for 60-90 minutes.
Mix the sauce ingredients together. When the ribs are done, place in a large
bowl and pour the sauce over all. Cover with saran wrap and chill in the
refrigerator overnight.
The next day, grill or bake the ribs and pour the sauce from the bag into a pan. Heat
to boiling and simmer sauce until it thickens for a few minutes. Serve hot over ribs before
serving.
Recipe Notes
This makes a large batch - depending on how many you are feeding, you may cut the sauce recipe in half if using 2 pounds of ribs.
I love them with mashed potatoes instead of rice too.
