This tea biscuit recipe is as old as the hills, and still makes the BEST tea biscuits I've ever tasted. So moist, and the raisins make them even better. I offer more of my homemade biscuit recipes at the bottom of the page.
This recipe is from Marion Linden. I love you Deet, and miss you so much.
PREHEAT oven to 400 degrees, and lightly spray a cookie sheet with vegetable oil.
Mix ingredients together and roll out to 1/2" thick. Cut out in circles and sprinkle with sugar. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes. I don't let them get golden on top - biscuits are not as moist when the tops are golden brown.
3/4 cup homemade mayonnaise 1/4 cup homemade cherry conserve 1/2 tsp curry powder 1/4 tsp salt 12 ounces crushed pineapple, well drained and squeezed dry 1/4 tsp lemon juice 2 cups finely chopped cooked chicken 1 cup finely diced celery 1/2 cup sliced green onion
First combine the mayonnaise, chutney, curry powder and salt. Add remaining ingredients - chill before serving.
