If you have never tasted authentic spaghetti and meatballs then you are in for a real treat.

AUTHENTIC SPAGHETTI with MEATBALLS
1 large onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, smashed and chopped
1/2 tsp salt
pinch of red pepper flakes
1/2 lb ground pork
1/2 lb ground veal
1/2 lb ground beef
1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
1 cup parmigiano
1 cup bread crumbs
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup water
Drizzle olive oil in the bottom of a frying pan and add the onion and garlic. Season with salt and red pepper flakes. Saute until tender and cool.
2 lg onions, diced
1/4 lb pancetta or bacon
4 garlic cloves, smashed and chopped
four 28 oz cans plum tomatoes
1/2 can water
salt to taste
Fry pancetta (or bacon) and onions together until tender in a large pot. Just before they are done, add the garlic.
Use a food mill for the tomatoes or roughly chop them in a food processor or blender.
In a large bowl, add the pork, veal and beef. Then add the remaining meatball ingredients. Add the cooled onion/garlic/red pepper mixture. Form into golf ball size meatballs.
PREHEAT oven to 350 degrees.
Add 1/4 cup olive oil to a large skillet and heat. Fry meatballs until browned on all sides and place on a cookie sheet. Bake for 15 minutes and add to the sauce.

Best Garlic Butter Spread for Garlic Bread
This is my favorite flavored butter recipe because this butter goes with so many things it would be impossible to list them all.
I usually triple the recipe, divide into equal portions and roll into logs - then freeze them. That way you always have this on hand at a moments notice to put on fish, slip under the skin of chicken, or melt over a New York strip steak.
Just slice a loaf of homemade French bread
horizontally (lengthwise)** and spread on this magical garlic butter
(you may add shredded mozzarella on top - a must in Wisconsin). Bake it
in the oven until golden brown. Out of this world.
1 cup homemade unsalted butter
1 TBS garlic, minced
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
1 TBS homemade garlic powder
1 tsp homemade Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
kosher salt to taste
1/4 tsp paprika
In a bowl, combine the butter, garlic and parmesan cheese. Season with the remaining ingredients and mix until smooth.
**You may also slice on the diagonal.
