This recipe for ham loaf is wonderful. Simple and delicious. I give you my secret sauces that makes this even better. This ham loaf recipe is over 75 years old, and still the best I have ever tasted. Enjoy.

Recipe for Ham Loaf
This is a homemade ham loaf recipe, and easy to make. It reminds me of when I was a child. Mom would serve it with creamed peas and mashed potatoes.

I offer two toppings. The first is my creamy horseradish sauce and the other is a brown sugar glaze. Both are delicious.

OLD FASHIONED HAM LOAF RECIPE

2 lbs lean ground pork
1 lb ground cured ham

1/2 tsp homemade garlic powder
1/2 tsp homemade onion powder
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup milk
1 cup cornflakes, crushed
1/2 can condensed tomato soup

PREHEAT oven to 350 degrees.

Mix the ingredients together. Place in a loaf pan and press down well. Bake for two hours.

Horseradish Sauce
1/2 pint heavy cream
2 TBS homemade horseradish
2 TBS sugar

Mix well and serve over each ham slice.

OR

Brown Sugar Glaze
1 cup homemade brown sugar, packed
1 TBS mustard powder
1/4 cup cider vinegar

Mix well and pour over ham during the last 15 minutes of baking. This is wonderful with homemade bread and mashed potatoes. Yum.

I offer many old fashioned dessert recipes, that are easy to make and so delicious.
