HOW TO MAKE SANGRIA

Do you want to learn how to make sangria? This is my favorite sangria recipe and will be yours too after you taste it.

It is concentrated and has brandy in it - wonderful for anytime of the year. If you don't want it as sweet, you may add ginger ale instead of the 7-Up.

This MUST sit at least overnight in the refrigerator for the best flavor. It's so much better than what is served in restaurants...

How To Make Sangria
PERFECT SANGRIA

1/2 cup Korbel Brandy (yes, I am from Wisconsin)
1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/3 cup frozen lemonade concentrate
1/3 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
1 bottle (750 ml) dry red wine
1/2 cup homemade peach schnapps
1/2 cup triple sec
2 cups 7-Up

Sliced Fruit: lemon, orange, pineapple, peach, and lime.

Combine ingredients in a glass pitcher and add the sliced fruit. Refrigerate overnight.

This is another recipe for sangria with rum. You can add any fruit that you want. For the wine you may use what I suggest or a red burgundy is also nice.

SPICED SANGRIA

1-1/2 cups spiced rum
1/2 cup white sugar
1 (750 milliliter) bottle blackberry merlot or a dry red wine
1 cup orange juice, frozen as juice cubes*

Lemons, Limes, Oranges, Apples, Pears or Cherries for garnish

*I freeze the orange juice in an ice cube tray and add one to each of the drinks.

Make certain ingredients are well chilled. Slice the fruit and place in a large glass pitcher. Pour all ingredients in pitcher and stir until sugar has dissolved. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours to develop the flavors.
