DIRT CAKE RECIPE

This is a wonderful dirt cake recipe. Not only delicious, but very realistic. I offer many easy cake recipes for you to try at the end of the page.

This easy cake recipe can be divided into 3 different flower pots or one large one. It's up to you. I line them with saran wrap or foil before filling them. You can use different things instead of a flower too. The list is endless.

Dirt Cake Recipe

Here's the Recipe!

1 (8oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
3 TBS butter, softened
2 (3.5oz) pkgs instant vanilla pudding mix
3-1/2 cups milk
4 cups homemade whipped cream, recipe below
32 oz Oreo cookies

Chop cookies in a blender until fine.

Mix butter, cream cheese, and sugar in bowl. In a large bowl mix milk and pudding together until thick and then add whipped topping. Combine pudding mixture and cream mixture together.

Dunk Oreos in milk and layer on the bottom of the flower pot. Then add the whipped cream mixture; repeating layers. Place a fake flower in the center of the flower pot with a trowel. You may add gummy worms to the layers if you wish. Chill until ready to serve.

NOTE: For pool and beach theme parties, use the opposite. Vanilla cookies and chocolate pudding to make it look like sand. I use shells on top, (you can buy in any craft store) in a sand bucket with a shovel.

HOMEMADE WHIPPED CREAM

2 cups heavy whipping cream
3 TBS white sugar, or to taste
1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract

Beat until mixture forms peaks.
