A wonderful Christmas drink recipe that family and friends will love.
THE PERFECT EGGNOG RECIPE
6 eggs, separated 3/4 cup white sugar, divided 1/2 to 1 pint brandy (or whiskey) 1 ounce rum (optional)1 pint whole milk 1 pint heavy whipped cream
Beat the yolks separately and add 1/2 cup sugar while beating. Beat until sugar is dissolved and mixture is thick; set aside.
Beat the egg whites separately and add 1/4 cup sugar after they have been beaten very stiff. Mix the egg yolks and egg whites together. Stir in the heavy cream and whole milk. Then add brandy (or whiskey) and the ounce of rum. Stir thoroughly and serve very cold with grated nutmeg on top of each glass.
This is my favorite Christmas drink recipe. I only use brandy (Wisconsin girl), but you can use whiskey too. Rum is optional.
You should make this and try it with friends and family. It really warms you up (in a good kind of way).
Beat the egg yolks until light yellow in color. Add the vanilla, powdered sugar and allspice. Beat until very stiff.
In another bowl, beat egg whites until very stiff (like for angel food cake) and add to the egg yolk mixture. Beat mixture adding more powdered sugar (1/4 to 1/2 cup) until batter is very stiff. Chill mixture overnight.
When ready to serve, put a pot of water on and bring to a boil. Pour 1 ounce (according to taste) of brandy or whiskey and 1/2 ounce rum in a coffee mug and fill 3/4 full of hot water. Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of Tom and Jerry mix on top and stir. Sprinkle with nutmeg and serve.
3/4 cup homemade mayonnaise 1/4 cup homemade cherry conserve 1/2 tsp curry powder 1/4 tsp salt 12 ounces crushed pineapple, well drained and squeezed dry 1/4 tsp lemon juice 2 cups finely chopped cooked chicken 1 cup finely diced celery 1/2 cup sliced green onion
First combine the mayonnaise, chutney, curry powder and salt. Add remaining ingredients - chill before serving.
