Easy beverage recipes are handy on hot summer days, but when your throwing a party you must use my drink recipes. Seriously, they are delicious and easy to put together. Many cocktail recipes too.
I love this beverage recipe (so does everyone else). When the mugs are chilled, pour yourself a glass. You can also use half lemonade and half iced tea for a wonderful change on an old fashioned drink.
OLD FASHIONED LEMONADE RECIPE
6 lemons 4 cups cold water 2 cups boiling water 1 cup sugar (more or less to taste) 1-2 lemons thinly sliced to float ice
You can rim the glass with sugar.
Put the lemons in the microwave for about 10-15 seconds to warm them up a bit. Boil 2 cups of water together with the sugar. It dissolves the sugar for no grainy taste. Chill and serve.
6 bags of Luzianne tea 3/4 cup white sugar, or to taste 2 cups boiling water 4 cups cool water pinch of baking soda
Sprinkle the pinch of soda in the bottom of a large glass heat-proof pitcher; as this cuts down the bitter aftertaste. Pour in the boiling water and add the tea bags.
Allow to seep for 15 minutes. Remove the tea bags and stir in the white sugar until dissolved. Pour in the cool water and put in refrigerator until cold. Add slices of lemon when serving.
Combine all ingredients in an airtight jar, mix thoroughly.
Keep sealed until ready to use.
To give as a gift, place in a pretty jar, along with some recipes. This would look nice in a basket, maybe with some measuring spoons, and ingredients for one of the recipes you give.
